Each of Froebel's Occupations give children the opportunity to develop their curiosity, creativity and problem solving skills. Froebel believed that it was important for children to have access to a wide range of materials and experiences. The Occupations include:
- Sewing, threading and weaving
- Clay
- Woodwork
- Cooking
- Stick and pea constructions
- Paper folding
