We are a grant making charity. We rely on trustees and committee members to share their expertise and support the work of the Froebel Trust on a voluntary basis. We value diversity in all our work and promote a culture in which everyone is treated fairly.

Our Executive Team

The Froebel Trust's Executive Team manage the day-to-day operations of the Froebel Trust. Led by the Sacha Powell, Chief Executive Officer, they develop and deliver the strategy, projects and activities agreed by the Council of Trustees and committees.

Council of Trustees

The Council sets the charity's strategic direction. The Council is responsible for all governance matters and provides advice and challenge to the Froebel Trust Executive Team. The Council delegates some decisions to the committees.

Finance and Governance Committee

This committee holds delegated responsibility for aspects of financial controls, corporate governance, regulatory compliance and risk management. The committee reports to the Council of Trustees.

Education and Research Committee

This committee brings together trustees and volunteers who provide expertise in early childhood research, Froebelian practice and early learning. The committee advises and reports to the Council of Trustees.

Communications Committee

Committee members provides expertise in education, PR, marketing and communications. The committee advises on strategy and policy for the Froebel Trust's communication and public activities. The committee reports to the Council of Trustees.

Partners

The Froebel Trust works with many individuals and organisations to make a difference for young children. Some of our partners are volunteers and others receive grants or work on our behalf. All our partners support Froebelian principles and share our aim to bring academic early childhood research and real world practice closer together.

Working groups

Groups are established for special projects. These can involve Froebel Trust committee members, trustees, members of the executive team and other special advisors and volunteers.
