Our online courses are delivered via live interactive sessions led by our experienced tutors.
These courses are for anyone working with young children who wants to develop their practice and learn more about a Froebelian approach.
Special offer for January 2025
Join an introductory online course and complete Element One of the Froebel Trust Short Courses: An introduction to the principles and practice of the Froebelian approach to early childhood education.
Four sessions. All online. On Thursdays 6pm to 8.30pm.
This special course will take place on 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th January 2025.
In this practical course you’ll find out how Froebel’s principles are relevant to your practice today. It's a supportive and inspiring course which explores how carers and educators can support, guide and extend children’s learning and development.
The course will be led by experienced Froebel Trust Travelling Tutors Carole Bloch and Amanda Norman.
The course cost for all four online sessions is £120. Subsidies are available for individuals who are paying for the course themselves (rather than their employer, setting or school). Priority will be given to colleagues who cannot afford the full price of the course and who work in areas where many families with young children experience high levels of economic disadvantage. If you are successfully awarded a subsidy, the reduced course fee is £80. Please state on your course application form if you wish to be considered for a subsidy.
There are just 2 places still available for this course. Apply now via our online form.

Froebel Trust Online Course
Our full online course covers all six themes, which are central to a Froebelian approach to early childhood education. We call them the Elements of Froebelian practice.
The course includes plenty of practical activities and will:
- build on your current knowledge
- develop your practice
- inspire you in your on-going work with young children
- help you to embed Froebelian practice in your school, setting or organisation
- connect you with other educators who want to develop a Froebelian approach.
The course is live and interactive, taking place via Zoom with experienced Froebel Trust Tutors.
Each Element is covered in four online sessions and each session lasts 2.5 hours. So the whole course involves 24 online sessions / 60 hours of learning.
Next online course starting in September 2025
