Who is this course for? What will I learn?
This 2 day course will introduce you to 'The Principles & Practice of a Froebelian Approach to Early Education'
In this practical course you’ll find out how Froebel’s principles are relevant to your work with young children today.
This course will build on your skills and develop your understanding of a Froebelian approach.
A Froebelian approach to early education recognises the importance of play, learning through nature, practical hands-on learning and nurturing a child’s connection to their community.
It’s an inspiring and supportive course which gives everyone the chance to reflect on how young children learn. The course explores how teachers and educators can support, guide and extend children’s learning and development.
- You don’t need any particular qualifications to take part. All teachers, practitioners and educators are welcome.
- You don't need prior knowledge about Froebelian education to take part.
- You will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course for your CPD records.
- You will also receive a choice of Cosy or Froebel Trust resources worth up to £25.
The course will be led by Froebel Travelling Tutors, Paula Lester and Dr Kate Smith.
Note: To get the most out of this course, we recommend at least two educators from a setting attend the course together. Those who have been to our courses before tell us that this helps them put their learning into practice when they return to their nursery or early years setting.
Please note: This course will not be led by Dr Stella Louis as previously advertised. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Dr Stella Louise is no longer able to attend this course. The course will instead be led by experienced Froebel Travelling Tutors Dr Kate Smith and Paula Lester.
