Practitioner Support Grants 2021 open for applications

As part of the Froebel Trust's commitment to funding practice development and innovation in early childhood education and care, a Practitioner Support Grant fund is re-opening for applications.

These small grants of between £3000 to £5000 are available to early years settings and schools in the UK interested in further developing an aspect of Froebelian practice. The grants support settings' work with young children and their families and communities.

We believe that Froebel's focus on the importance of play, learning through nature, practical hands-on learning and nurturing a child's connection to their community is more relevant now than ever.

How to apply

The criteria for this small grant fund requires one member of the management team at a setting or school, plus one other practitioner, to have already completed one of the Froebel Trust endorsed courses. This includes childminder networks and collaborations.

We are particularly keen to welcome applications from settings working with under-represented communities and with those families worst affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Application deadline is 4pm Thursday 17 June 2021

Successful grant applicants will be expected to begin their funded projects between 1 September 2021 and 31 January 2022.

Other Froebel Trust grants and funding will be available from July 2021 - including a new Practice-Led Research Grant programme. Details of these further funding opportunities will be shared soon.
