About the series

A new Froebel Trust series created to support educators in their work with babies and young children.

Each Research Highlight summarises the latest in early childhood research. The series makes links between research, Froebelian principles & practice in early childhood education today.

The aim of these new Froebel Trust resources is to make research accessible and relevant to educators in their everyday work with young children in all kinds of schools and settings.

The series is also a great introduction to research for all those studying early childhood education.

The series is edited by author and academic, Dr Sue Robson - a member of the Froebel Trust's Education and Research Committee. Each Research Highlight in the series is written by an expert.

Sacha Powell, CEO, Froebel Trust said, "In early childhood education it can be tricky to make connections between practice and theories or evidence from research. Our new research highlights are short reads. Each one focuses on an important topic with the first 3 about: curriculum-making; the key person approach; and young children’s self-regulation. Links are made from practice to Froebelian principles and examples are given of recent research that reinforces the relevance of Froebel’s ideas."

All titles in the Research Highlights series are free to download.
